A Houston based Medical Ccompany, Lordex Inc., developed a medical device to combat the effects of muscle wasting or disuse atrophy as experienced by Astronauts in outer space. Studies that measured
the effect of a closed reduction decompression procedure were also performed in a research setting in McAllen, Texas. Lordex Inc. combined these two effective procedures, now called LDT®/SRT , for the treatment of acute and chronic back pain.
